A little history...
I first became interested in essential oils and their wonders many years ago in conjunction with an interest in natural health. Since then, I've used e.o.s extensively for natural health care and body care.
As a long time student of Taoism, Buddhism, Hermeticism and Alchemy, the use of aromatics in the quest for spiritual growth has always been fascinating to me. Several years ago, I began to study the use of e.o.s for spiritual purposes. This led to my interest in and study of natural perfumery.
I am a firm believer that natural substances are far more powerful, in every way, than their synthetic imitators, and so I insist upon the use of ALL NATURAL, botanical essential oils and carriers in my creations. In addition to their increased power and inherent quality, natural substances are better for the environment - the environment of the Earth as a whole, and the intimate environment of your home and body. Most "everyday" fragrances, and I daresay the grand majority of "commercial" perfumes and "scented" body products are artificial, a soup of petrochemicals and God knows what else. These imitation scents are used because they are cheaper to produce and because they are completely uniform. Natural plant essences are all different - year by year, season by season they may be slightly different due to weather, location, care given, or harvesting practice. I find this characteristic of natural botanicals charming and beautiful - it reflects the nature of ourselves: always changing due to environment and treatment. It also guarantees a unique perfume! Whenever possible, I also utilize organic materials, and when my materials are not organic, they are guaranteed to be chemical residue-free.
I am excited and obsessed by olfaction and am also excited to create custom perfumes for specific uses - whether those uses be spiritual, strictly secular, or "magical."
